Profound and Horizon Platforms finalists for the IDXA21 awards

We are proud to announce that Profound and Horizon Platforms have been shortlisted as a FINALIST at the International Digital Experience Awards 2021.

Horizon Platforms are a leading equipment rental solutions provider in the powered access sector (think Cherry Pickers / Scissor Lifts). Horizon Platforms came to Profound to build a digital platform that would take their business to new heights. The dream of an online portal to improve their current equipment hiring process that could scale into an industry-wide tool seemed like a tall order with their ageing technology stack.

There were five clear key objectives of the new platform set out at the start of the project:

  • To provide business growth by selling more hire days
  • To improve operational efficiency
  • To help customers self-serve (if they want to)
  • To improve staff retention on the hire desk
  • To become the default centralised platform that customers and suppliers use when placing powered access platform hire orders

Profound helped Horizon use a combination of the latest headless systems to improve their client experience, reduce the cost-to-serve for existing clients and lay a robust foundation to enable the desired diversification of their business model. They are now leaders in their industry, being the first in their sector to fully digitise the customer experience.

The International Digital Experience Awards looks to celebrate successful digital experience projects, highlighting organisations that are on their digital transformation journey and have innovated through the challenges that were faced over the past year, particularly in the face of a changing consumer market.

After an initial entry submission to the IDXA Awards team detailing the Strategy, Goals, Innovation and stakeholder engagement, we were recently notified that we would be finalists and would have to participate in the final presentations to be held on the 15th of July 2021.
